<strong>New York, NY – September 16, 2008 – SpaFinder, Inc.,</strong> the global spa resource, today announced the winners of its prestigious 2008 Readers’ Choice Awards, revealing spa-goers’ favorite spas across the globe – by continent and country/region – as well as their top picks for the best spas in 25 specific categories. In addition to the diverse geographic regions traditionally recognized in the awards program, new favorites in remote locations such as Kynsa, South Africa and Queensland, Australia demonstrate how a fresh generation of spas are enticing global travelers.<br />

Wow, we are a little more than 5 full days into my rollout of <strong>The Day Spa &amp; Salon Owners &#8220;Guide&#8221; to Effective Yellow Pages Advertising Product</strong>, and what a roller coaster it&#8217;s already been.<br />
.<br />
Its been an incredible few days, and The Day Spa &amp; Salon Owners &#8220;Guide&#8221; to Effective Yellow Pages Advertising Product is already a huge hit, and I&#8217;m DYING to tell you about some incredible behind-the-scenes heroes who helped me get this product off the ground&#8230; we were dealing with some stuff that was almost insane.<br />
.<br />
But first&#8230; there is a <strong>BIG</strong> problem that just won&#8217;t go away. And this is a problem that could very well impact <strong>YOUR business</strong> some day (or even now)&#8230;<br />
.<br />
Somehow, despite the fact that I have literally <strong>ONLY</strong> sent email from my<br />
SpaMarketingTools.com domain to “<em>already</em>” subscribers, we ran into some huge problems with our email getting filtered.<br />

In fact, it appears that as much as 30% of the Internet is not receiving any email that has my domain name in it.<br />

Now to be clear, I am not talking about mail FROM my domain&#8230; I am talking about mail with any mention of my domain name. I will give you more details on this when I have something more solid to go on&#8230; and I will pass along any information on ways for <strong>YOU</strong> to avoid this predicament.<br />

(Don&#8217;t feel bad if you have NO IDEA of what I&#8217;m talking about - many of my close friends who have been successful online for years had never heard of such a thing!)<br />

In the mean time, I am still exploring possible solutions, and I haven&#8217;t ruled anything out. The only thing I can say for sure is that The Day Spa &amp; Salon Owners &#8220;Guide&#8221; to Effective Yellow Pages Advertising Product is still available at the moment and we&#8217;re doing everything we can to address this situation.<br />

I agree with almost all of what Dan espouses and I encourage you to read and assimilate what he said. Having read his two newest books, I’m on board with his ending comment “that to succeed in business for the long haul you can’t be a ‘<em>sissy</em>.’” It takes hard work, smart marketing, and a continued emphasis on under promising and over delivering.<br />

Understanding that the U.S. public is easily swayed, is not generally well read, and actually believes what they see and hear on the network news, can get one a little down. At the same time, many times these people are your competition. That’s a comforting feeling.<br />

OK, let me explain just a &#8220;little&#8221;&#8230; I want to tell you about what I think is probably the single most important lesson there is&#8230; both for your day spa, salon or massage practice business and your<br />
personal life.<br />
.<br />
And yes&#8230; I am quite serious. This isn&#8217;t just marketing hype.<br />
.<br />
It took me a long time to learn this&#8230; in fact; I really didn&#8217;t start to learn it until I became an entrepreneur many moons ago.<br />
.<br />
Maybe I am just slow.<br />
.<br />
But once I started my marketing business, I gradually learned this lesson&#8230; and it has made all the difference.<br />
.<br />
So this is it:<br />
.<br />

You have probably heard that before. You might have even said it before.<br />
.<br />
Maybe you even live and breathe it... in which case, I'm sure you are wildly successful.<br />
.<br />
This lesson is profoundly simple, but it is incredibly powerful. Instead of focusing on "getting", you only have to focus on "giving." If you do so, the changes in your life and day spa or salon business will start almost immediately. And the chain reactions are simply amazing.<br />
.<br />
Now this doesn't mean you can give everything to everyone. For example, this spa &#038; salon marketing newsletter goes out to a lot of people. I can't sit down with each of you and coach you in your business.<br />
.<br />
There are not enough hours in the day. In fact, the rate I charge for coaching/consulting is $350 per hour... and I end up discouraging people from taking me up on that. I just don't have the time... even at that crazy rate.<br />
.<br />
No... you don't have to give to <strong>EVERYONE</strong> who asks or everyone who has needs. That is impractical - none of us can do that.<br />
.<br />
But you should still put your focus on <strong>GIVING</strong>.<br />
.<br />
An example: I am really good at brainstorming. And I love to mastermind with folks.<br />
.<br />
And one thing I always focus on when I mastermind - I want to spend more time/energy on the other person&#8217;s questions and issues than we spend on mine. I want to be on the giving side of the equation.<br />
.<br />
I *always* focus on this.<br />
.<br />
And you know what? The end result is that I have built up an <strong>INCREDIBLE</strong> network of people I can mastermind with. In fact, just thinking about this group of folks takes my breath away. It means<br />
that whenever *I* am stuck, then I can tap into this monster-sized set of brains to help me get unstuck.<br />
.<br />
Here&#8217;s a related example: In the last 6 months I have helped 2 fellow entrepreneurs with the launch of their now successful Online Businesses. I&#8217;ve actually spent hours &#038; hours on the telephone with<br />
them. I&#8217;ve also provided them with lots of strategies and copywriting ideas.<br />
.<br />
Guess how much I got paid to help those guys out?<br />
.<br />
Well, their launch did thousands and thousands of dollars in sales.<br />
.<br />
And for the first time ever I am going to reveal the exact dollar amount that *I* made from that launch.<br />
.<br />
Here is the number: $0.00<br />
.<br />
Yup, I made exactly zero dollars. A great big goose egg.<br />
.<br />
I didn&#8217;t even promote them on a joint venture basis.<br />
.<br />
In any case&#8230; you get the picture.<br />
.<br />
I gave and gave and gave and gave. Without any expectations. Well you know what that means - eventually, it is all going to come back.<br />

Well, guess what&#8230; that day is pretty much here. It is all about to come rushing back to me.<br />
