Quick Question?

Announcements!

I’ve decided to create a “complete guide” for advertising in the YellowPages (actually it’s 85% finished!) it’s specifically for day spas, salons and massage practice owners who want to market and sell their services “effectively” with the use of YellowPages.
.
As you know, my niche “spa marketing & salon marketing business” has been very good to me, and I believe that I can teach others how to duplicate my success. Especially when it comes to getting a return on investment from your YellowPage ads.
.
And that’s what this comprehensive guide will be all about: Helping you create profitable ads that see a return on your dollars spent… like I’ve done with my business and clients businesses. This is for anyone who is currently advertising in the YellowPages or even if you were considering it! (Hint: They are still a viable means for advertising when it comes to your day spa, salon or massage practice! Only most people do not know how to make them profitable??)
.
Anyway - is this something you’d be interested in?
.
If so, please do me a favour and tell me exactly how you’d like me to help you:
.
Just post your questions, concerns or thoughts when it comes to advertising within the YellowPages in the comments area following this post…
.
Please take ACTION on this as you’ll be helping both you and me greatly!
.
It will take you two minutes, max.
.
Talk soon,
.

.
P.S. Again, post below in the comments area…

Sounds great - as I am not from Australia I am not sure how this will work - will you do one advert and then have links to the various spas and also put them into categories

Rose not creating a directory… creating a guide on how to do proper advertising within YellowPages. No need to be from Australia… If you have a YellowPage directory in your area then this will show you how to get your phone ringing from your ads!

Yellow pages guide would be great - it’s already expensive to advertise there - I’m getting fed up with paying for it to be honest. It’s just a kind of “keeping up with the Jones” excercise for me at the moment.

We purchased an existing tanning salon and just added treatment rooms for a day spa with a Dermosonic machine. How do I go about getting us clients amid the plethora of other day spas in the area.

Your timing is perfect. I just received a call from our Yellow Book representative. As this is an expensive but necessary form of marketing, I would appreciate any ideas that you can share to make it worth the money that we are spending. Whatever you can send my way would be much appreciated.

    Cheers to you,

    Toni

    Hi John,

Specifically, I am looking forward to seeing your perspective on information hierarchy as it relates to a Yellow Page ad. In addition, there has been debate on the value of Yellow Page advertising with regards to it still being a viable medium to invest in when compared to online directories - any additional information you can provide as far as that is concerned would be a bonus!

By the way, I always enjoy your newsletters and am looking forward to this guide.

    My Best,
    April

FYI were cutting back on our YP ads this year. We spend 40K a year in this media. They have shown poor results and we track all ads. We are still using them but putting our time into video and pay per click program AT&T is offering. They are moving into the internet very aggressively. Today it is hard to tell where your leads are coming from exactly as most ads have web sites listed and a majority of the people go to the site and tell you they found you on the internet. Were still averaging about 300 leads per month with what were doing. We have a med spa and plastic surgery center.

I would like to see some good examples of effective ads and how to advertise to get the people in. There isn’t much space and like everyone has said, it is very expensive, so power words in the small ad are important.

Sure! I am always interested in ways to make advertising cost effective and productive! My phone books will be renewing soon.

Thanks for all the replies to date! I’m working on the answers to all your questions and comments.

    Many thanks,

I have just complete my first experience with publishing with the yellow pages and wow is all I have to say. In my mind I thought it was going to be between a certain number of dollars every month and wow was I ever wrong. I was 10x what I thought it was going to be. But if there is something that was tried, tested and true I would feel more confident and comfortable paying that much for an ad. I really hope this will work for me this year. If not I will look to you John for some help next year.
