Hilton Hotels Corporation has teamed several of its most upscale brands with spas, and products from luxury goods conglomerate Moet Hennessey Louis Vuitton LVMH.
.
The deal, announced this month, will match three LVMH brands with three of Hilton’s upscale chains. Spa Chakra will operate Guerlain spas in the Waldorf-Astoria Collection properties and Acqua de Parma spas in the Conrad Hotels & Resorts. In addition Spa Chakra—until now an operator of those two spa brands—will create and run spas under its own name in selected Hilton hotels in major cities and resort destinations.
.
“We are delighted to align our distinguished hotels with leading luxury spa brands, which are the créme de la creme of their categories,” says Matthew J. Hart, president and COO of Hilton Hotels Corporation. “Discerning travelers increasingly are seeking a complete wellness experience; this alliance will provide that and more.”
.
The flagship Waldorf-Astoria in New York City will be the first property to house a Guerlain spa. Managed by Spa Chakra, the 15,000-square-foot spa and retail boutique is scheduled to open in February, 2008. Acqua de Parma’s Blu Meditteraneo branded spas and spa products will be offered in Conrad Hotels & Resorts properties beginning next year. Finally, two Conrad Hotels, including the Conrad Miami have opened Spa Chakra outposts, and more are in the works.
