The Number of Spa Facilities in Israel Has Increased…

Over the past four years the number of spa facilities in Israel has increased!

The Israeli spa business registered an 8% rise in profits in 2006. A study carried out by Business Data Israel (BDI) shows some 20 spas operational in Israel, serving a clientele that is primarily female and middle class.

The number of spa facilities has greatly increased over the past four years, with some 130 private spas, more than 80 spas in hotels, and 10 spa resorts currently. According to BDI, the increase results from higher standards of living and growing awareness of body care and alternative treatments (“8 percent rise in spa revenues in 2006,” Ynetnews.com, February 16, 2007.)
